Were you shooting on bulb and just closing the shutter after the strike or were you taking timed shots? I don't have blub on my camera and have to keep taking 30 second exposures until I get something decent. There is one in my gallery from lastnight that I actually got on my 5th pic if ya wanna check it out! :)

i think the details are written... i can remember... but the camera captures light very good. 30 seconds exposure would have made it very white... try to open the diaphragm... i do that and it captures more light and i can reduce the exposure time greatly
